Dr. Donnelly is a clinical psychologist that offers virtual individual psychotherapy for adults in Washington DC, Maryland, New York, and all PSYPACT-participating states.
Dr. Donnelly brings extensive experience to her practice, working with a diverse range of issues. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, grief, trauma or just want to change your relationships, she is here to guide you through your journey.
Dr. Donnelly help clients process the emotional distress caused by depression and anxiety. She provides clients with a supportive and compassionate space to learn skills and work through these emotions. Treatment approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP/EXRP) for OCD.
Trauma therapy sessions are designed to help clients heal from the effects of trauma, such as PTSD, childhood abuse, and sexual assault. She utilizes evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Skills Training in Affect and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), and Written Expressive Therapy (WET). These treatments help clients process their trauma and develop coping skills to manage symptoms.
Sessions are designed to help clients obtain alcohol and substance use goals. Whether your goal is to abstain or reduce use, she utilizes a motivational and evidence-based strategies to allow for sustainable change. Modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Dr. Donnelly earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University. She also has a Masters in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College. Dr. Donnelly completed her predoctoral internship at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, NY. Her postdoctural training was conducting mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, suicide and risk assessments to patients with a range of mental health conditions in an correctional setting. Dr. Donnelly has worked in an outpatient clinic that specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, alcohol and substance use disorders utilizing evidenced based techniques. She has been in private practice for over a decade treating adults and adolescents.

My fees are commensurate with my expertise and years of experience. I accept electronic payments (via Zelle, Paypal, Venmo), credit card, HSA or FSA payments for your convenience. Please contact me to discuss my fees, which vary based on the service provided.
I do offer a complementary 15 minute telephone consultation to all prospective new patients. This call can allow us to briefly discuss your reasons for coming to therapy, address any questions you might have, and to get a beginning sense of whether we’d be a good fit working together. In order to uphold the highest quality of care, I do not participate directly with any insurance plans. However, this does not necessarily mean that you cannot use your insurance or that services will not be reimbursed to you. At your request, I can provide you with a statement of services so that you may seek reimbursement from your insurance company independently. It is often the case that your carrier will cover a significant portion of the cost.
To understand your coverage benefits, I recommend you contact your carrier and ask them how much they reimburse for “out-of-network” psychotherapy services. Below are some questions to ask your insurance provider:
